Random Drawing

The winner of the random drawing is Bryan D. of Louisville AC Experts!

Bryan was one of seven members of the Louisville AC Experts group to submit a quiz this week.

All 7 players win a prize!

Funniest Wrong Answer

The funniest wrong answer belonged to Eden O. of Betterworks.

The question was "If you’re the kind of person who spends February in New Orleans or digs Ray Charles, BB King, and The Cars, you should have a smooth time telling us what is the English translation of the French phrase “Laissez les bons temps rouler?”"

And Eden's answer was "Lazy candies tempt the router-- I offer an hourly rate for all my translations"

We did a quick search as to what an translator makes on an hourly basis, and it seems that it's quite a large range: $15 - $150. Since someone like Eden clearly is at the higher end of this range, we congratulate her on bringing home four figures a day for her work. Betterworks should think about expanding to France quickly with this kind of talent!

Eden was one of twelve members of the Betterworks group to submit a quiz this week.

All 12 players win a prize!

Favorite Answer

Our team's favorite answer came from Andrew B. of RocketReach.

The question was "Silly Americans…everywhere other than the U.S. the phrase “à la mode” means “in fashion” or “up to date.” Somehow in the States, it’s a dessert term signifying that your brownie is going to be served with what additional item?"

And Andrew's answer was "Some half melted Breyer's that somehow has the consistency of ice cream but has the mouth feel of room temperature yogurt"

You know...sometimes you read something and you can taste it in your mouth. As people who are HUGE fans of desserts served "a la mode," the reality of Andrew's answer was just too good. He's exactly right, like how does it look so good yet not live up to expectations upon consumption. Fascinating point Andrew.

Andrew was one of eight members of the RocketReach group to submit a quiz this week.

All 8 players win a prize!
