September 24, 2024

There are three categories of winners for this week's game: Random drawing, funniest answer, and favorite answer.

The total prize amount for the week is $1,000.

The cumulative number of submitters from the three winners' groups was 41, so each person takes home $24.39.

Random Drawing

The winner of the random drawing is Leslie K. of Polaris PG&A!

Leslie was one of twelve members of the Polaris PG&A group to submit a quiz this week.

All 12 players win a prize!

Funniest Wrong Answer

The funniest wrong answer belonged to Chris C. of Regions.

The question was "Josh Hartnett plays Hugo, based on Iago. Julia Stiles is Desi, based on Desdemona. Mekhi Phifer is Odin, based on the, uh, title character. So goes a 2001 film adaptation with what single vowel as its title?"

And Chris's answer was "Y"

Chris, Chris, Chris. We did everything we could to turn this into a question that only had five possible answers. And yet you were the only person in our entire game who guessed the "sometimes" vowel. I mean, we're tricky, we know that. But that would have been cruel, cruel, cruel cruel. Certainly made us laugh though!

Chris was one of two members of the Regions group to submit a quiz this week.

All 2 players win a prize!

Favorite Answer

Our team's favorite answer came from Michelle A. of Firebrand & NetGalley.

The question was "The newest release of “Romeo + Juliet” isn't even the first time that that exact title has been used! In 1996, Claire Danes starred as Juliet opposite what leading actor who was a year away from freezing in the Northern Atlantic…even if there WAS DEFINITELY ROOM ON THE RAFT?"

And Michelle's answer was "Leonardo DiCaprio.... Move the heck OVER Rose!"

That is what we are talking about! Michelle, we couldn't agree more. We don't know whether to blame James Cameron or DiCaprio himself, but Jack should still be here with us right now. Plus! MythBusters took on the topic and apparently they agree with you and me.

Michelle was one of twenty seven members of the Firebrand & NetGalley group to submit a quiz this week.

All 27 players win a prize!
